Service detailsWhy do we combine insulation and cladding?
Insulation and cladding are two adjacent layers in the same wall, yet on most projects they are awarded to two different contractors. The division looks logical, but the fault rarely falls inside either one’s work; it falls at the line between them.
A recurring example: the waterproofing is laid correctly on the roof, then the cladding contractor arrives and punctures the membrane to fix the tiling. Each carried out his own item exactly as required, and the result is a leak. When a repair is called for, each refers the responsibility to the other.
When both layers sit under one contract, that gap disappears.
